If
a service replacement headlamp for the 2010 SRX is received with a fractured
plastic tab at the location shown, it is not necessary to return the part to
Service Parts Operations. Damage to the headlamp retaining tab may have
occurred during shipping.
Do
not return the part, this tab is used for production purposes only and is not
required for service. The lamp housing can be modified before installation.
If
the tab is broken, use a hack saw and remove the remaining plastic retaining
tab by cutting across both legs of the tab as illustrated by the dashed line. (Fig. 13)
