The
owner of a 2010 Camaro may comment of repeat poor performance of the air
conditioning system. Previously, the compressor may have been replaced for a
broken compressor shaft. In addition, there may be signs of overheating, such
as labels on the compressor being bubbled.
If
diagnosis leads to replacement of the A/C compressor for an overheating
condition or broken shaft, check the Repair History. If the compressor has been
replaced in the past for similar reasons, perform these additional steps in
order to properly complete the repair.
1.   Â
Replace the compressor
and the receiver/dehydrator
2.   Â
Flush the condenser and
evaporator
3.   Â
Verify through Repair
History that the HVAC (ECC) module has had the latest calibrations installed
