There is a new Driver Information Center (DIC) message that will be displayed on all 2010 full-size trucks and SUVs to warn drivers of a low battery charge condition.
When the vehicle's battery is severely discharged, the BATTERY LOW START VEHICLE message will be displayed and four chimes will sound.
When this message is displayed, the vehicle should be started immediately. If the vehicle is not started, and the battery continues to discharge, the climate control, heated seats (if equipped), and audio system will turn off in order to decrease the amount of discharge on the battery. This may leave the vehicle's battery with enough energy to start the vehicle. If the vehicle is not started soon, it may require a jump start.
The climate control, heated seats and audio system will function normally after the vehicle is started.
