Exhaust Hanger Thump

Some owners of a 2007-09 Silverado or Sierra 1500 model may comment of a thump, rattle or knock noise when turning left or when driving over bumps. This concern could be caused by the front exhaust hanger contacting the frame hanger. (Fig. 11)

If contact is identified, grind the end of the exhaust hanger to 4 mm +/-2mm to provided additional clearance. (Fig. 12)
